RIP King of Pop

Today marks the 2nd year that Michael Jackson, who was brilliantly known as the “King of Pop,” died. The ArtBelles honor his memory by posting two of our favorite songs. I remember being a little girl and bopping my head to Michael’s music. If you’re in Birmingham, check this exhibition out to see a great photograph of MJ.

I don’t care what anyone says-this man changed music forever and transcended boundaries. Too many “musicians” can’t even sing, let alone mesmerize a crowd the way MJ did. His lyrics were fun, thought provoking, and real. May his music forever live on.

If you have one, pull out your silver glove and grab your you know what.

  1. Michael was one of a kind. His music . . which I grew up on. . is loved even today by children. I know mine are loving his music. How many other artists (who have passed on) have children today of all races singing their songs? I'll wait. . .yeah none.

Today, I am playing his songs, watching his DVD, and playing the MJ Experience video game (though my 2 children always seem to beat my scores).
