We hope you ArtBLT’ers had a wonderful but safe holiday yesterday–because we had a ball! We attended The Taste of the Fourth, which is actually an addition to Lenox Square’s Legendary Fourth event this year. This event is an Atlanta tradition that normally attracts between 350,000 – 500,000 people annually. That’s a lot of people, right?!
Taste of the Fourth tickets were $10 and benefited the Atlanta Mission, a wonderful organization that assists men, women and children with various emergency and or temporary needs.
We had the pleasure of interviewing Claude Guillaume, General Manager of Davio’s Northern Italian Steakhouse. Davio’s is located in Phipps Plaza in the swanky Buckhead area. ShermikaBelle and I cannot wait to try this Italian powerhouse. Guillaume invited us in his beautiful French accent to give Davio’s a taste. We look forward to dining! Guillaume was extremely pleasant and we all shared a laugh or two. If you know the ArtBelles, then you know that we love to laugh!
We asked Guillaume what seperates Davio’s from other Italian restaurants that tout themselves on using fresh ingredients. He noted that Davio’s does not have “Americanized” Italian food, but their food is centric to Northern Italy and maintains that influence. Well, well, a belle sure is excited if she can get some authentic Italian food without having to go through a TSA patdown.
The Taste of the Fourth included restaurants such as: California Pizza Kitchen, Morelli’s Ice cream, Hail Caesar, The Palm, and the Red Brick Brewery. Hope to see you at Atlanta’s legendary event next year! How did you spend your Independence Day?
