Local Eats & Treats: Dreamcakes Bakery
If you read this, you know that the ArtBelles love cupcakes. We’re watching these dancer’s figures, but every now and then we have to indulge. If you follow us on Twitter, then you know that a belle loves some Dreamcakes. These sweet treats are perfect for work, on the go, or just because!
Every since Tamika was treated to one of their delicious cupcakes for her birthday, we have been fans. Plus, y’all know we are big on niceties, and Tamika even received a candle when an employee overheard it was her birthday! In case you’re wondering, we don’t get paid or get gratis cupcakes from Dreamcakes for our obsession.
A Dreamcakes cupcake is surely a treat. They’re moist, delicious, and are so pretty! They are always fresh and the buttercream icing is to die for. If you’re big on icing, then you’ll love a Dreamcakes cupcake. I tend to skim a bit of the icing off as I like to taste the flavor of the cake.
My favorites are Chocolate High and Old Fashioned Caramel. Tamika is a fan of Simply Strawberry & Strawberry Milkshake. I’ve always wanted to own a bakery, so I should see if a bakery would host a belle as an intern.
If you haven’t already, I suggest you satisfy your sweet tooth and pick up one of these treats. And it will only set you back $3 or $3.50 if you buy from Dreamcakes’ truck. We’ve tried over 8 flavors and they all were divine!
We are elated that they will be one of the many vendors at this year’s Sidewalk Film Festival starting TODAY!!!
What’s your favorite flavor for a cupcake? Where is your favorite bakery located?
Update as of October 2011: We like these cupcakes, but don’t think we’ll be stopping by their shop/truck anytime soon. There are some things in life that we are VERY particular about. In short, kindness is something that should be practiced at all times.
