The Real Housewives of California
I told y’all via Twitter that I would share this with you! Several weeks ago, I received this FAB collection in the mail. I ordered it on sale and let’s just say that a belle has a new appreciation for the I Love Lucy show. Over the years I’ve received/bought many items that would please any Lucy Fan. Other than my book on the life/career of Ms. Ball, this complete series is one of my faves by far.
To me this wasn’t just a funny TV show. It was one of the best shows to highlight that women can be funny too! It’s also one of the reasons I wanted to learn a second language. Lucy and Ethel are the original house wives. Watching them is like a warm hug from fab friends!
I fell in love with Lucy when I was extremely young. In fact I remember watching the show during my pre-school days. When other kids were watching cartoons, I was watching I love Lucy and The Young and the Restless. I know, cool child, right? The wonderful book pictured above is what I was telling you about earlier. The sis gave it to me as a gift when I was feeling down one day a few years ago. She always knows what to say/buy to cheer me up. This is a hard life and Lucy and the sis make it that much better!
I have so many Lucy Items! A belle has everything from a cute tin box to a street sign, to movies and autographed photos. I actually have a Lucy clock that says something funny at every hour. I wouldn’t be lying if I said that this was the best cast–EVER.
How could you not love Ricky and Ethel and Fred Mertz! Every episode is like watching old friends entertain me.
These DVD’s are what I often watch alone in my room. When I try to watch with Shermika, she’s always talking through the show and I just cannot have that. Nobody gets between me and my Lucy.
For those of you that adore the show as much as me, I recommend that you pick up the complete series (all 9 seasons + bonus) for yourself. Want to know what the best part is? Well, I caught it on a one-day Amazon sale for around $76, but only paid $30 after my sweet giftcard. Don’t you just love gift cards!
Check out what’s included:
This box is too fab. You lift the heart to open.
Each disc is individually labeled as is the inside sleeve that it’s enclosed in. There’s also a lovely book included that gives you a synopsis of every episode, the date aired, and more!
This is how I am with the sis at times. I’m covering my eyes saying: “Ay-ya-yay!”

Fabulous, what a blog this is! Keep it up.
That was a great show. We are doing something similar but I never thought about blogging it, we are going through all of the M*A*S*H episodes. I purchased season 1 a couple of weeks ago and we are making our way through that. It is good to have a "way back" session from time to time.
It really is, Carol. A lot of this mess on TV is too much. I am a simple girl that enjoys the simple things in life. Good old fashion real TV is one of them!
I watched M*A*S*H (EARLY in the mornings) too.
Hi Ladies! Just thought I'd share that your first photo of Lucy has been my most popular pin on Pinterest. Everybody really does love Lucy!
So happy to hear that! Yes, Lucy is a doll. We didn't know you were on Pinterest! FYI: We have a giveaway going on. Check the main page.
