Today is a VERY special day. One year ago we created ArtBLT! I know, we can’t believe it either. It started as a dream by Shermika and I did all of the technical work to get this party started (got tired of hearing her annoying voice talk about it!). I am glad that I did!

To help us celebrate this milestone, courtesy of our sweet friend over at Fashionable Notes, we are giving away a fab tote bag to one lucky ArtBLT’er. Trust us when we tell you that you want one of these cuties. It’s no wonder they’ve received all of the support and great press about them. First, I have to tell you all why we love blogging!

We have been on quite a fun ride and to be honest we don’t want to get off. The best part is all of the wonderful/genuine people that we’ve met along the way. It’s mind-blowing when we think of all of the fab peeps we’ve interviewed, met in person/via Twitter, and cultivated relationships with. The sis and I are often told by non-bloggers that blogging is easy. *scuffs* Y’all know that isn’t true!
Now, I didn’t say that it wasn’t fun, but let’s be real. It’s time consuming (IF done right) and is a lot of work even with two belles. Though all of this may be true we wouldn’t stop doing it (unless we won the lottery)! We blog for the love of it and if you are doing it for money solely, then you are sadly mistaken.
We blog because it connects people, places, thoughts, and so much more. Bloggers have a special place in our hearts and we thank each and every one of you that often email us, leave comments, Tweet us, or even “like” something on our Facebook page. I know we’ve said it many times, but we can’t say it enough: THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH! We truly appreciate y’all reading and sharing ArtBLT.

Congrats on your 1 year Blogiversary. I see we have upgraded the blog. Looks good. I want to do the same to mine, but lazy gets in the way. Anyway, I have enjoyed getting to know you ladies this year. It is so true how blogging has helped make the world that much closer. I like all the posts, even though we've never met in person! When I read your blog I feel like I am checking in on friends! You both have a way of drawing folks in with your writing.

I remember watching the Oscars and thinking NOT about the fashions, but wondering what kind of a spread the ArtBelles were planning. I was not disappointed.

I can't believe it's been a year already, time flies! You ladies have done so much, grown and shared so many great events, recipes and trips. I love that fact that your sisterly bond is so strong that the two of you can commit to blogging together and crank out hot post after hot post. My favourite was your trip to Japan..I loved Love you girls!
