Local Eats & Treats: Sol’s
Happy Monday, sweet friends! We hope y’all had a beautiful weekend. I have been doing some last minute packing and had a fab lunch right here in downtown B’ham. For some reason I have been craving Sol’s and had to take a break and head right there! When the nephew told us he had never tried them, you know we had to take him! Let me tell you why. This is a family-owned business that treats you like family from the moment you walk through the door.
The sis had a DIVINE patty melt. We both LOVE their fries, too!
Sol’s has been open since the 1960′s and reopened in 2008s; it is owned by the original owner’s 3 sons. Want a home-cooked meal with fresh Southern veggies or a juicy burger and a tasty salad? Then, Sol’s is the place to taste. Each time a belle has gone we have had a fab meal and experience. Check out what we ate recently:
I had their philly. One bite and you are hooked like a lace front!
This is Sol’s “peach” cobbler, but it should be called “blueberry-peach!” Still yumminess nevertheless!
This is one of the nephew’s fave local eats now! He tried their juicy chicken tenders.
If you are local/are traveling to our beautiful city anytime soon, you must check out this treasure (if you haven’t already). Your tummy will thank you every time!!!

The food looks great. I love places that are family owned I feel you almost always have a better experiences at those kind of establishments and now a days they are too few.
Your nephew is very quickly becoming the star of this blog for me. He is SUCH A CUTIE!!! You ladies were very fortunate to have a date with that dashing young man.
